Invest with Lasting Influence

Each week, thousands of women gather at various Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC) sites across the country. Each of these women has a goal and desire of moving forward with their lives in a way that produces confidence and assurance for them and their families. For each of these sites, it takes the support of volunteers and financial donors to make their ministry possible. Thanks to the support from the Dove Endowment through the WMU Foundation, CWJC sites can receive funding for program development. In addition, current participants and graduates can apply for scholarships that will assist them in furthering their education, allowing them to work towards a positive, sustainable future.

Here is just a small glimpse of the impact these scholarships are having in the lives of these women:

>
“Receiving the Faye Dove Scholarship allowed me the opportunity to receive my food service certification. I am now in college with plans of one day owning a food truck business. Through CWJC, I have been able to see that I have value and worth through Jesus Christ.”

— Faye Dove Scholarship recipient

>
“Through CWJC, I was able to obtain a high school equivalency diploma, graduate from CWJC’s computer and job skills training program, and secure a full-time job. The award allowed me to enroll in college with plans to earn a degree in social work.”

— Sybil Bentley Dove Award recipient

>
“The program development grant that our site received has allowed us to purchase online training modules that will allow our women to receive certifications in various areas that will prepare them for future jobs.”

— program development grant participant

For one CWJC graduate, the funds from the Dove Endowment have helped her attend college and, most recently, assisted her in continuing with graduate studies. Those who give to the Dove Endowment make an investment that will have a lasting impact on these women and their families.

Christian Women’s Job Corps/Christian Men’s Job Corps began in 1996 and seeks to equip women and men in a Christian context for life and employment. In 2018, 200 sites impacted the lives of nearly 7,000 men and women through the service of 8,500 volunteers. Many lives were changed as 400 of these individuals began a relationship with Jesus Christ for the first time.

If your missions passion is helping those in need find a brighter future, you can give to the Dove Endowment. Your gift will impact the life of not only one woman but her family and the generations to come.

When you give a monthly gift of at least $25, you will receive a free Find Your Missions Passion mug to remind you of the lives you have impacted with your gift.
