O’Brien Award

The Dellanna West O’Brien Women’s Leadership award endowment was created to honor the memory and legacy of Dellanna West O’Brien – Celebrating women who disciple others and invest in the next generation.

Created to honor the memory of a long-time WMU employee, the Marti Solomon Endowment supports the ministries of WMU through a yearly distribution to the Vision Fund.

WMU Endowments

Birmingham Metro Associational WMU Endowment

This endowment provides an annual distribution to support the mission and ministry of the Birmingham Metro Baptist Associational WMU in Birmingham, Alabama. These annual grants benefit their backpack ministry, disaster relief efforts, equipping WMU leaders in local churches, and starting age-level missions education programs. Your gifts will help to grow this endowment to provide for expanded missions efforts in the future.

Candy P. Phillips Endowment

The Candy P. Phillips endowment provides scholarships and assistance to women identified in their states as potential leaders and supports leadership training efforts for Christian women.

Charles N. Burch International Missions Endowment

The Burch Endowment provides financial resources for spreading the Gospel overseas and can benefit WMU’s International Initiatives partners.

Christian Women’s Job Corps Special Fund

All funds awarded from the CWJC Special Fund financially support staffing, training, and programming needs of CWJC/CMJC.

CWJC/CMJC Endowment

This endowment provides funding for grants to local CWJC and CMJC sites.

Dixon Endowment for Mission Friends

The Mission Friends Endowment helps start new Mission Friends organizations for preschoolers and provide training for Mission Friends leaders.

Eleanor Terry Endowment for Christian Women’s Leadership

The Eleanor Terry Endowment for Christian Women’s Leadership supports the Christian Women’s Leadership Center (CWLC). CWLC exists to engage Christian women in discovering and developing their leadership gifts and skills through holistic learning experiences so they may serve effectively as God calls them in life, the marketplace, and the church.

Francis and Kathryn Bullard Endowment

This endowment was created for the purposes of funding international evangelistic efforts and ministries either created by, associated with, or supported by WMU or the WMU Foundation.

Jackson/Reese Endowment for WorldCrafts

This endowment supports WMU’s fair-trade ministry, allowing artisan groups to produce quality products.
